During the Retreat’s Friday evening dessert sharing, LeAnn Berkner from Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, brought these wonderful bars to share. She consented to let me share the recipe with you. We enjoyed a nice variety of goodies from many other states as well. Scottish Bars
Cream butter and sugar, add flour and mix. Press into 9×13 pan. Bake at 350° for 30-40 min.
*Healthy Option: unrefined sugar (Sucanat or Rapadura) Melt and boil the topping for 8 minutes, then beat so the butter doesn’t separate. Oh my, no wonder they were so good! Thank you, LeeAnn. |
