Aunt Selma’s Pecan Pie

Aunt Selma’s Pecan Pie

  • 3 eggs beaten
  • One-half cup white sugar
  • One cup dark Karo syrup
  • 2 and one-half Tablespoons butter
  • 1 and one-half teaspoon vanilla
  • One-half teaspoon salt

Beat above ingredients well.

Put three-quarters cup crushed pecans in an unbaked pie shell. Add syrup mixture on top. Drop half pecans over the top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes, until firm. Be careful so it doesn’t get too dark on top. Serve with whipped or ice cream.
