Chain Stitch
This stitch is like doing the lazy daisy stitch in a continuous row. Come up at 1 and back down just next to where you came out of the fabric. Bring your needle up at 2 and instead of making a stitch to secure that loop take your needle back down at 2 to create a loop. Come up in the center of that loop to make another loop. Continue to do this until you reach the length you desire, then make a single stitch over the top of the last loop to secure the stitches.
