Mary’s Chocolate Mincemeat Brownies

Mary’s Chocolate Mincemeat Brownies


  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 cup prepared mincemeat, original, or Brandy-Rum spiced
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Cream butter and sugar until well blended. Add the eggs, one egg at a time and beating well after each egg. Stir in next four ingredients until blended. Then add flour and salt, mixing well. Spread in a greased 13″ x 9″ pan. Bake at 350 degrees F approximately 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
