Orange Chicken

Orange Chicken

  • 2 pounds skinned chicken breasts
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • one-half green pepper, chopped
  • fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • one-fourth cup orange juice concentrate (undiluted)
  • one-fourth cup water
  • one-fourth cup catsup
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoon flour
  • one-half tsp. salt
  • one-half tsp. garlic powder
  • one-half tsp. dry mustard.

Place chicken in shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with green pepper, mushrooms, and onions. Combine orange juice, water, catsup, soy sauce, flour and seasonings. Mix until smooth. Cover each chicken piece with sauce. Cover and bake one hour in 350 degrees oven. Place orange slices over chicken and bake an additional 15 minutes.

Serve with cooked rice.
