Spice Cake from the 1940’s
Cream sugar and butter, add milk, eggs, coffee, and flour with all the spices mixed in. That’s all it says in the old book so I would suggest you use a 9" x 13" pan that you have sprayed with oil and bake at 350° until done. Use a wooden toothpick to test the center of the cake to see if the toothpick comes out clean. If it is still gooey, continue to bake a few more minutes until it is done. |
